Maria Pukhlianko is a Honor Artist of Ukraine, laureate of international piano competitions, Doctor of philosophy (PhD), Professor of Summer musical academy (under patronage of International Competition for young pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz), associate Professor at the P.I.Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

M. Pukhlianko is an art-director of the International Festival "Dynasty", director of the project "The art of playing with orchestra", an art-director of the project "The evenings of a piano art", an art-director of the project "Many-hands piano".

M. Pukhlianko is a jury member and a chief of the jury-team in lots of piano competitions in different countries, including Ukraine, Spain, Japan and Israel.

She was born at the family of musicians. Maria started her piano lessons from six. She graduate Master Degree at the P.I.Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

Maria Pukhlianko also acquainted oneself with different national piano schools. She studied at the master classes of the famous professors: Alexander Alexandrov (Russia), Warren Thomson (Australia), Dina Ioffe (Israel), Vladimir Krainev (Russia), Norma Fisher (Great Britain), Oxana Yablonskaya (USA-Israel), Cristina Ortiz (Brazil), Marios Papadopoulos (Great Britain), Hose Ribera (Denmark).

Maria is a talented pianist who has a delicate sense of style, poetry, creative imagination, strong artistic will, musical conviction. Maria  has an experience of playing with leading Ukrainian orchestras with different conductors (Bach, Concerto D-dur; Mozart, Concerto A-dur KV 488, Concerto B-dur KV 595, Concerto-Rondo D-dur, Concerto for 3 pianos; Beethoven, Concerto № 1 С-dur, Concerto № 5 Es-dur; Schumann, Concerto a-moll; Weber, “Concertshtuke”; Liszt, "Hungarian Fantasy"; Saint-Saens, «Carnaval of animals»; Ravel, Concerto G-dur; Revutzkyi, Concerto F-dur; Hummel, Concerto h-moll; Rachmaninov, Rhapsody on Paganini’s theme; Schostakovich, Concerto №1,№2; D’Indi, Concerto for piano, flute and violoncello.).

Maria performs with piano recitals  at the well-known stages, has a lot of radio-records. Her various repertoire includes pieces of European, Russian and Ukrainian music. Maria performs with great skill a works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Rachmaninov.

She is also a director of ENSEMBLE OF SOLOISTS “SOLO PLUS” which was created by Maria Pukhlianko and Anton Kushnir at 2004. “SOLO PLUS” " is a mini orchestra: mobile, bright, modern. Throughout its existence the "SOLO PLUS" has created an Assembly of Best Young Ukrainian Musicians which incorporates leading young performers in different areas of expertise.

Maria Pukhlianko’s creative achievements :

  • First Prize Laureate of the Regional Competition of pianists (1996);
  • First Prize Laureate of “Les Cles D’or Du Piano” International Competition (Paris, 1997);
  • “Vox Populi” Laureate of the 5th Festival “Regina-Vladimir Horowitz in memoriam Piano and Chamber Music” (1998);
  • Diploma-winner of the III International Competition for young pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz (Kyiv, 1999);
  • Laureate of the program Ukrainian Cultural Fund “New names of Ukraine” (2000, 2003);
  • Winner of the student’s competition under patronage of Kyiv Mayor Olexander Omelchenko “Youth - the hope of Kyiv”(2000).
  • Semifinalist of the Brahms International Competition (Portschach, Austria, 2001);
  • First Prize Winner of the Competition YAMAHA Scholarship Award 2002.
  • Diploma-winner of the II International Lysenko Music Competition (Kyiv, 2002);
  • Laureate of the Ukrainian Government Award “For creative achievements”- 2003;
  • Diploma-winner of the II International Competition for pianists in memory of Emil Gilels (Odessa, 2003);
  • Finalist of the Second Piano Competition “Isidor Bajic” (Novi Sad, Serbia and Montenegro, 2004);
  • First Prize Winner of the Marusia Yavorskaya Scholarship Award (University of Ottava, Canada, 2004);
  • Laureate of the VI International Competition for young pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz (Kyiv, 2005);
  • First Prize Laureate of the V International Competition Klavier zu 6 Handen (Marktoberdorf, Germany, 2006);
  • Laureate of the “International Festival of Art Masters named by S. Richter” (Zhitomyr, 2007).

Maria Pukhlianko took part in lots of creative acts in Ukraine and abroad: International Festival “Split’s Summer” (Croatia), “Kyiv Music Fest” (Ukraine), “Oxford Philomusica Second and Third International Piano Festival” (Great Britain), “Inspiring Classics” (Finland), International Festival “Kiev’s Summer Musical Evenings” (Ukraine), “Chamber Music Session” (Ukraine), “Musical constellation of the Carpathians” (Ukraine), “Rhapsody of Polissia” (Ukraine), “Festival of Art Masters named by S. Richter” (Ukraine) etc. She represented Ukrainian piano art in USA, Japan, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Russia, France, Hungary, Great Britain, Austria, Poland, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark.
